Ayala Land buys out BPO partner

Property giant Ayala Land Inc. has bought out its partner in some of its BPO (business process outsourcing) office leasing business for P3.52 billion.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, ALI chief finance officer Jaime Ysmael said the firm has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Global Technologies International Limited. Read more

ALI buys out BPO property partner

Ayala Land, Inc., said it is acquiring the stake of its partner in a unit that holds a portfolio of business process outsourcing (BPO) properties in Makati, Quezon City, and Laguna.
The company in a regulatory filing said it has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Global Technologies International Limited (GITL) to acquire the latter’s 32 percent stake in ALI Property Partners Co., (APPCo) for P3.52 billion.  Read more

Strong Business Process Outsourcing growth

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry continues to post robust growth, exceeding its targets last year. Data from the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), formerly Business Processing Association of the Philippines, showed that revenues rose 18% to $13 billion in 2012 from $11 billion in 2011. The number of workers also rose 21.8% to 780 ,000 in 2012 from 640,000 in 2011. This year, the number of workers is expected to rise to 926,000.  Read more

BPO industry bullish on growth this year

MANILA, Philippines - The business process outsourcing (BPO) industry expects to continue its sustained growth this year, an official of outsourcing service provider Transcom Philippines said.
Siva Subramaniam, country manager and head of sales for Transcom Philippines and the Asia-Pacific, said BPO revenues reached $13.5 billion in 2012, citing data from the latest Business Process Association of the Philippines quarterly survey.  Read more
